Driven by Family
The Story
Be Well Chiropractic opened in Chanhassen in 2023 as a pediatric and prenatal chiropractic clinic, founded and lovingly built by Dr. Lauren Brettingen, DC. From the beginning, Be Well has been rooted in gentle, family-centered, neurologically based care—supporting moms, babies, and growing families in our community.
In 2024, Dr. Lauren received the joyful news that she was pregnant with twin boys. Becoming a mother had always been a lifelong dream, and she knew that caring for her babies needed to be her top priority. As her life shifted into this beautiful new season, our family came together to create a plan that would support both her growing family and the families we care for at Be Well.
In May 2025, ownership and day-to-day management of Be Well Chiropractic transitioned to Dr. Pete Brettingen, allowing Dr. Lauren to continue caring for patients on a more sustainable, part-time schedule while focusing on motherhood.
Dr. Pete Brettingen is Dr. Lauren’s brother and has been a family chiropractor and the owner of Lake Life Chiropractic in Chaska since 2017. Bringing Be Well Chiropractic under the Lake Life Chiropractic name was a thoughtful and natural decision made together—rooted in family, shared values, and a long-standing commitment to high-quality care.
Be Well was created with the same heart, systems, and standards of care that Dr. Lauren learned through many years working at Lake Life Chiropractic prior to becoming a chiropractor. Because of this shared foundation, the two clinics have operated with a similar philosophy and approach from the very beginning. Today, Be Well Chiropractic is officially a second location of Lake Life Chiropractic, allowing us to share resources, streamline systems, and move forward with one unified mission.
Please know that maintaining a high level of care for your family remains our top priority. While you may notice a few small changes—such as new team faces or updates to insurance participation—you can expect the same gentle, high-quality family chiropractic care you know and trust.
Dr. Lauren is now the proud mama of two healthy baby boys, Thomas and Louis, and is adjusting part-time at both clinic locations. We are incredibly grateful to have her on our team—not only caring for patients, but also supporting and training our chiropractic team. Her reach is greater than ever, and we know you will love meeting her and being adjusted by her, if you haven’t been already.
A Note About Scheduling & Location Information
Our software system does not allow patients to hold charts at two locations simultaneously. Patients will need to choose either the Chaska or Chanhassen clinic as their primary location. This default can change at any point and different family members can be in different locations but we cannot provide care at alternating locations.
